The Obi Baby Child Carrier is an ultra compact sling or lightweight toddler carrying belt than can be kept in your handbag or pocket to support your child when you need to keep going, but they have run out of steam. The Obi Baby Child Carrier does the same job as a carry backpack, but is much smaller and more portable. | What is it made of?
OBI child carriers are manufactured according to the philosophy of OBI Fashion. This has sprung out of a desire for comfortable clothing made from natural fabrics with the hard wearing capabilities of martial arts training clothing. Many martial artists subject their training suites to years of hard training, and the only thing that happens to them is that they become softer. The core of the OBI is double cotton strapping which produces enormous strength. This has been tested to support 100 Kg at a dropping distance of 20 cm (i.e. jolting). This is the same material as heavyweight Olympic judo contestants use for their belts. The OBI belt we use is specially widened to 5cm for additional strength, and then finished in a man-made satin finish to make it soft on the skin. The belt is finished with 10 lines of
embroidered stitching ensuring it will give you many years of practical
use. The buckles and clips are high impact resistant plastic designed for
outdoor activities, resulting in a small, lightweight yet highly robust
piece of child kit for active parents. |
